At that time, 13 ½ years before today, he was 19 years old. He was tall for a boy, but he looked very young as he was weak and feared his father. Then, he had a fateful meeting with Law, and was protected by the marine, and finally become one himself. Yet he dropped his career when he already was a rear-admiral, and became a pirate!! What happened!? What do you think!? Hey, you!! ––Nah~~. I'm curious which steps X Drake will take from now on!!

Oda: Sì, è proprio quel Gimlet. È un po' difficile da spiegare, come posso fare?
Poteva sembrare solo un riferimento divertente, con qualche frase saggia ad accompagnarlo, ma chi ha una certa cultura letteraria conosce il romanzo hard-boiled "Il lungo addio". In questo romanzo c'è la famosa frase "Era troppo presto per un gimlet". In altre parole, ho pensato di utilizzare un nome che potesse essere associato al personaggio hard-boiled che stavo disegnando e fosse adatto a lui. Solo chi conosce il romanzo però se ne sarebbe accorto.
E poi io sono un ragazzo di Kyūshū, inoltre come apprezzo il genere hard-boiled e non mi dispiace neanche qualche bicchierino ogni tanto.

Lettore: Ho notato che Robin ha un grosso seno. Ma anche quello di Nami, se si guarda bene, è altrettanto grande. Perché entrambi hanno un seno così prosperoso? A Oda piacciono così? Questa domanda viene da due ragazzini di 10 anni.

Oda: Io quando esco indosso sempre un unico pezzo con disegni floreali e fronzoli vari. Non so perché c'è sempre qualche poliziotto che mi ferma ed ho dei problemi con Amawari, ma a me piace vestirmi così! Mi piace indossare un unico pezzo, è fantastico!

Lettore: Ho una domanda per te, Odacchi. Nel capitolo 762 del volume 76, intitolato "La Città Bianca", nella scena in cui signor Cora viene pugnalato da Law, ho notato Crocodile in un articolo presente sul giornale che il signor Cora stava leggendo. Di cosa parlava quell'articolo?

Oda: Hai proprio un occhio attento, eh? Guardando bene in effetti è proprio Crocodile. Si tratta di un articolo di 16 anni fa, quando Law aveva 10 anni e Doflamingo 25. Crocodile aveva 30 anni al tempo.
Quando era molto giovane, si era fatto un nome per la sua forza inarrestabile, proprio come stanno facendo Rufy e gli altri adesso, ma poi accettò quasi subito di entrare nella Flotta dei Sette, quando ancora non aveva neanche 25 anni. In seguito si scontrò con Barbabianca, ma fu sconfitto. Da quel momento assunse uno strano atteggiamento, spostò le sue mire sul regno di Alabasta, dove divenne un vero e proprio eroe, un membro della Flotta dei Sette che dava la caccia ai Pirati. Questo lo fece comparire su molti giornali.
Quindi la risposta è: l'articolo parlava di un eroe.

Oda: Se tu metti un'anguria in una scatola rettangolare, quando ancora deve maturare, alla fine otterrai un'anguria rettangolare.
Per quanto riguarda Pica... ha indossato spalline di quella forma durante il periodo della crescita, quello è stato il risultato.

Oda: Sono solo capelli un po' crespi.

Lettore: Il ragazzo chiamato Drakey, che era con il pirata Barrels, in realtà è X Drake, Capitano dei Pirati di Drake, dico bene? Il nome Diez e la cicatrice sul mento... e poi ho notato che venivano dal Nord Blue. Quindi Barrels è il padre di Drake?

Oda: Già, è proprio così! Come hai ben notato è Drake, che sta scombussolando il mondo insieme a Rufy e gli altri Pirati della Terribile Generazione. Suo padre Barrels era un ex ufficiale della Marina e Drake, che lo ammirava e lo rispettava, sognava di entrare anche lui un giorno in Marina. Ma poi qualcosa cambiò e suo padre divenne un pirata violento che picchiava anche il suo stesso figlio. Drake era comunque legato al padre che era stato una volta e decise di seguirlo. Al tempo, tre anni e mezzo prima del presente, aveva 19 anni. Ma poi ebbe un fatidico incontro con Law e ricevette la protezione della Marina, divenendo in seguito un Marine lui stesso. Ma ad un certo punto interruppe la sua carriera, dopo essere diventato Contrammiraglio, e divenne un Pirata!
Cosa sarà successo?! Voi che ne pensate?! Sono curioso di sapere quali mosse farà d'ora in poi X Drake!

Oda: Nello scorso volume abbiamo scoperto che Horikoshi, l'autore di "Boku no Hero Acamedia", aveva pubblicato dei disegni nella Usop Gallery; ora è diventato un autore professionista.
Stavolta parliamo invece di Nozomu Mori, che ha vinto un premio legato al volume 74 e ha fatto il suo debutto come mangaka! La notizia però non viene da Shueisha o dal Jump, ma dalla rivista "Gekkan afternoon", secondo cui ha debuttato con lo pseudonimo Himuro Keidai! Congratulazioni! Spero che riesca a pubblicare con successo una sua serie e farsi un nome nel grande mondo dei manga. Fai del tuo meglio!

Lettore: Salve! Prima di scoprire da un programma televisivo che nella realtà i Marines devono mangiare curry ogni venerdì, in modo da non perdere la cognizione dello scorrere dei giorni.
Vale lo stesso per i Marines del mondo di ONE PIECE? Usano il curry di Rica?

Oda: È il curry dei Marines. È una storia molto nota, quindi sì, anche i Marines di ONE PIECE seguono questa tradizione. Periodicamente c'è anche l'obbligo di variare la dieta dei Marines, in modo che il loro organismo abbia il giusto nutrimento. Forse hai anche sentito parlare del pesce al curry. Nella base della Marina dove Rica lavora, puoi ordinare il "curry dolce di Rica", ho sentito dire che è molto rinomato.
